Rotel 1075

    Does anyone have one of these ?<br />I too missed the issue of hcc with it in <img src="frown.gif" border="0"> <br />Ive look throughout my hcc mag and cant find any info on ordering back issues.<br />Im considering using it to replace the onbaord amp in my sony 940.<br />Does the rotel have alot more headroom than the sony.<br />Im aware just compairing rms outputs doesnt account for a great deal.<br />Can anyone who has bought this power amp give us some idea of what it is like please <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

    I have the Rotal 1075 partnered with the tag av32r, and they sound great together, not as good as the tag power amp but that was an extra £2k, I managed to get the rotel ex demo for £500, and it still is an excellent partner for the av32r. It has plenty of power and works well on both 2 channel and 5 channel. For the price I cannot recommend it high enough.

    I did add a Rotel RB993 3x200 to my Onkyo receiver, for the front and center channels, and it improved the sound a lot more than I expected... drums are sharp, a lot more detail, even clapping, instead of a blur I can almost hear each person, the midrange is beautiful...

    Riddler - I use a 1075. It packs more of a punch that the Sony, and then some. There's no 12V trigger, but what it lack in functionality, i feel it makes up for with the massive power reserves, plus it's fast & articulate. As always, do try to audition your short list of kit side by side. I've not heard any negative comments about these 2 amps (1075 & 1095), and they're very good value.

    The rotel rb 993 is FIRST on my list. But im still saving and has been discontinued so im lining up a reserve <img src="redface.gif" border="0"> )<br />mark

    I've had a 1075 for months. I first used it with a Yamaha A592 as a pre-amp, then a Rotel RSP 976 processor, now with a Tag Mclaren AV32R. I think it is absolutely brilliant and do not regret not buying the 1095 or the Tag 100x5R. It does have a 12 volt trigger and I used this facility when I had the Rotel processor. Unfortunately, the RSP ran so hot it died so I bought the Tag. Can't use the 12 volt trigger with this combination though.
