I have the Rotal 1075 partnered with the tag av32r, and they sound great together, not as good as the tag power amp but that was an extra £2k, I managed to get the rotel ex demo for £500, and it still is an excellent partner for the av32r. It has plenty of power and works well on both 2 channel and 5 channel. For the price I cannot recommend it high enough.

I did add a Rotel RB993 3x200 to my Onkyo receiver, for the front and center channels, and it improved the sound a lot more than I expected... drums are sharp, a lot more detail, even clapping, instead of a blur I can almost hear each person, the midrange is beautiful...

Riddler - I use a 1075. It packs more of a punch that the Sony, and then some. There's no 12V trigger, but what it lack in functionality, i feel it makes up for with the massive power reserves, plus it's fast & articulate. As always, do try to audition your short list of kit side by side. I've not heard any negative comments about these 2 amps (1075 & 1095), and they're very good value.

    Good luck.

I've had a 1075 for months. I first used it with a Yamaha A592 as a pre-amp, then a Rotel RSP 976 processor, now with a Tag Mclaren AV32R. I think it is absolutely brilliant and do not regret not buying the 1095 or the Tag 100x5R. It does have a 12 volt trigger and I used this facility when I had the Rotel processor. Unfortunately, the RSP ran so hot it died so I bought the Tag. Can't use the 12 volt trigger with this combination though.
