Room thermostat change

hey im looking for some advice about changing a room thermostat. At the moment there is an old honeywell mechanical thermostat which is possibly 20 ish years old. I ordered a danfoss flatstat and have now realised unlike the old honeywell it needs a 240v supply. is it possible for me just to run an extra supply in and use the 2 existing wires as the common and normally open connections???
