Rookie needs HELP please! New to this stuff...

I'm about to buy one of these tv sets and I can't figure out for the life of me which to pick up. Insignia 46" NS-L46X-10A or the Vizio 47" VL470M. One has static/native 1400:1 contrast 50000:1 Dynamic and the other has 4000:1 static/native and 15000:1 Dynamic. Does the number really matter??? Please help me pick a set I will greatly appreciate it!
