Now were 4 months or so in since release, what does anyone whos playing it think?
Personally i'm on my second game, rule 55 areas and starting to think about going for Rome,It's took me 3 months to get here but the game just keeps getting better, Since i got my 6800GT things imprioved but it was no slouch on my ti4600,I have zero ships at my command and am having trouble getting any in the water as they just get the sh-t kicked out of them.Really is a great game and if you want a long term challenge go for it!

I nearly bought this game when it came out. I think it's time to download a demo and see what it's like.

Well, i finished taking over the world already!
    Not much left now.

i have started another campaing as another faction. They become unlockable as you defeat them in your first game.
I will be the Egyptians next!

Iv'e also done that AML and am playing as the Greeks i think, on maximun difficulty, hence it's taken me 3 months to get this far,5 weeks off for broken comp, much harder this time, the game is set in two parts the strategy map is akin to a 3d chessboard and the battle map is 3d people fighting each other. If you watch battle commanders on the tv then thats the battle game, same graphics, however thats half of the game the other half is just as good but more strategy turn based.Great.

P.S The demo isn't a patch on the game!

Obviously Shogun Total War & Medieval Total War. If you've somehow managed to not play either of those two games then think Civilisation but with added real time 3D battles.

I think the strategy side has been simplified somewhat to the previous 2 games, i found those hard to get into whereas RTW seemed much more accesible.

Only been playing this a couple of weeks now. Bit disappointed that once you take Rome (on the easy level 1st time round) that you can't continue. If this was the case, I'd held off.

Do you know if the patch lets you carry on after?

Iv'e played it on hard, with different factions, these unlock after the first game, when you take Rome with these you DO get the option to carry on, btw, play it on hard it's a much better experience imo.
