Weather and work spoilt all plans. So took the G7 to work yesterday to try and get something.
So not something you see everyday (as a passenger anyway). This is the view from the inside of a Rolls Royce Trent XWB used to power the newest Airbus the A350. It produces around 85000lbs of thrust, so you don't want to stand behind it when it's running!
What strikes me with this engine in particular is how clean and smooth the cold stream area I as it's mostly made from carbon fibre. The cold stream area is the bit behind the fan.
Anyway, as said used the G7 just played around in LR until I got something I like, some tweaks in clarity and curves I think it was.
