    Help required guys!

Because I'm off to Uni at the start of October I've got to put my D600 into storage. It will be rarely used for the next fews years but I'mmloafe to get rid of it because it will hopefully end being used for some video processing experiments at some point if my course goes right!

What conditons are right for putting it in storage? I can't put it in the loft, mainly because thr match is too big and it weighs too much. Any ideas execpt the ceiling, that's a no go i'm afraid, not my house. If it was it'd be there already!

    Cheers guys!

    :)

CRT's are pretty forgiving but a projector that has not been used for a few years could be a bit of a problem with capacitors drying out.
If possible apply power for an hour every couple of months

Damp is your worst enemy. Exceptional hot/cold during storage won't be an issue.

If you serriously won't use it for 3 years I would sell it now.

    Richard,
I had my 808s sitting in the corner of my living room for over a year while I was building my dedicated room. I powered up every month for a couple of hours and hey presto all was fine.

I would sell it but it has no real value. Gordon did give it to me for nothing because it has a slight video noise problem (very minimal).

Chances are if I did get rid of it I would need it later.

    Cheers anyhoo.

A Scotsman gave you something for nothing & you didn't suspect any. He must know about your rich uncle or your atractive sister.
