    Hi,

I'm on the verge of buying a Roku M1001 but need to know the exact height of the device including the stand.

It's going to sit on top of a micro hi-fi in my kitchen, but there's a shelf it needs to duck under so I have very limited space. I've only got 65mm height to play with! Is the hight of the tube + base greater than this?

Also, do you know the exact width? I've seen it quoted at 10" but also 12". Which is correct?

    Thanks in advanced.

    Paul.

Quite literally got the ruler out there mate - Regarding width, the Roku 1001 is just under 10" - I can confirm that it is definitely not longer than 10" in width.

Height is a different story I'm afraid - Your quote of 65mm is ironic, it comes in with stand at just under 70mm, but definitely over 65mm - I'd put it at around 68mm - Without the stand it is well under 65mm of course. Hope that helps.

    Arrrrrgghhhhhh.......!!!

Thanks for the measurements. Back to the drawing board - this may mean considering the bracket and hanging it from under the shelf below, or even going for the SB3 and putting it somewhere completely different.

Another Q (if I may) - can you dim the display. I've heard a few comments that it's too bright!

    Thanks again.

    Just to confirm.

If you use the bracket and fix it under your shelf, you would just get it in.

Why not use it without the stand. Just tried mine and it sits pretty well without the stand. I reckon with a bit of bluetack neatly hidden behind it you'd be OK.

That's not a bad idea, given your available space, you would certainly not notice a couple of blobs of bluetack pressed in behind it. There are no controls on the Roku to worry about.
