With the imminent arrival of RS2014, its probably about time it had it's own thread, so here it is :)

No drums, just guitar and bass.

Even the other game that may or may not ever get released, hasn't bothered with drums and Harmonix seem to have given up the ghost.

I'm surprised nobody's come out with a real drum game or that it's not being added to RS or Bandfuse.

They are both features in the Session mode in RS2014, but I would have thought that drums & kazoo would be good instruments for another game. But maybe that would be rather humdrum....

Kazoosmith!! Bring it on, can't wait :D

Playing guitar (real), bass, drums (real) and vocals (definitely real!) all together in RB3 was still the most exciting music game moment for me. With integrated scoring for all at the end of song:smashin:

For anyone new to these music forums, perhaps the official webpage for the game is useful:

@TheRiffRepeater Not sure if this is new but importing on-disc songs from the original Rocksmith to the 2014 won't be free, UBI said at TGS.

:(

They think DLC will port over for free, but licensing re-negotiations might be passed to us for porting the on-disc songs from RS to RS2014.

Didn't expect anything else to be honest, it was the same with Rockband, hopefully it won't be too extortionate, but it should be worth it as they'll all be updated.

Need to start sending those excuses for being off work in early :)

Wonder if BandFuse guys are looking at how this is being marketed?

Maybe this time the Guitarcade thread will actually get off the ground! ;)

I really do need to get my AV amp sorted out so I can get back to Rocksmith "classic" and also be ready for Rocksmith 2014.

You've missed some great bass grooves!

Try one of the following:

1) Use analogue cables instead of HDMI to connect your Xbox (or PS3) to your AV amp

2) Check the settings on your AV amp to remove any extra processing (not sure if this will be possible; I didn't see anything I could change on mine)

3) Bypass your AV amp and connect the Xbox straight to your TV, using analogue connections, and then use your TV speakers instead (you may then also have to check your TV settings)

4) Connect the Xbox to a stereo amp instead of the AV receiver (this is what I did)

5) Check the Rocksmith instructions, forums, internet porn sites etc. for further suggestions (the porn sites may not help you with the audio lag but they'll take your mind of the problem)

I have no problems with my AV amp - I plug in via HDMI BUT I have set the audio settings to stereo as the output, so it doesn't do anything to the signal. The amp does have a sync option in the settings, but I prefer stereo anyway for music.

Minimised lag on the PS3 and Yamaha amp by routing video to the amp via HDMI, audio via stereo rca (phono) cables out of the AV MULTI plug.

Set the amp input to HDMI (Video) & Analog (Audio).

Set the audio setting to STRAIGHT stereo. Not even using any kind of surround processing, DSP or any other effects. Seems to have almost got rid of any lag.

I think Crid's problem was his amp blew up or something, rather than lag.

BTW did nobody get the joke in my post above? I thought it was rather good!

Oops - my AV amp blew the HDMI board - everything else worked fine, but I git a great deal on a new one.
