I have this and Robocop is an excellent movie, but why is it such a poor transfer, its so grainy and the quality is bad along with the soundtrack.

Why is it that films released in the 60's 70's are being released on DVD and they are much better quality. Robocop is an excellent movie, in my top 5, but I think they could have done a better job on the transfer.

PS - Is T1:SE R2 definatly going to be uncut.

    Thanks Guys.

Robocop is being remastered in R1 later this year along with Starship Troopers and Total Recall. The Criterion version will therefore be OOP and it is unclear if the new print will be the Uncut print.

Personally I think it will be ludicrous to release a cut R rated print.

T1 is absolutely positively uncut. In fact its certificate has been reclassified as a 15.
