Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee great brilliant film far better than the title makes out, better than a lot of recent Mars films. Was that Batman and Marla the monkey in it?:rotfl:

Why does the DVD Price check always say a price for DVD Pasific a good bit lower than they charge it coming up £14.84 with the P&P in with that and the price of the postage is shown.:mad:

    DVD13.34

    P&P 1.47

    Total 14.81

Someone posted a link a while back for a DVD of this but it was a copy from the Laser Disc. Is this a proper DVD?

    Cheers

One for fans of 50/60's style movies, the younger generation may not get it. :D
I've never seen it, but will get it, when bit cheaper.

Great news this. I've been waiting for it too, but will have to wait for a cheaper price - a bit strapped at the minute to be spending £15+ on a dvd - even one as worthy as this. Infact will probably add it it to my christmas list, including coincedently, 'The Adventures Of Robinson Crusoe'

Picture quality is quite superb for a 40-odd year old movie. Criterion have a done a cracking job with it. Sound is the original mono, & it's clear & crisp to my ears.

Excellent documentary about Mars too - found it more entertaining than the movie to be honest. :)

Oh dear. Not a huge advert for the film. I saw it when I was a kid. Seem to remember loving it but I can't recall an awful lot about it. I suspect you are right on this one

I'd never seen the film before, just picked it up as I'd heard so many people talking about it over the years & the whole 'Why isn't it on dvd yet?' thing.

    It's a decent flick & I enjoyed it, but it's not exactly what I'd call a classic. ;)

Good Saturday matinee fun though! :)
