One of my favourite artists. Love all his early work including the Little Feat covers he did.....what a pity.

Yes, very sad and shocking news.
I've always liked his music - his cover of
Marvin Gaye's "mercy, mercy me" being one of
    my favourites of his.
Who'll forget the video to "Addicted to Love"? - truly
a symbol of the wonderfull 80's.
He'll be truly missed by myself and my wife who also
    loved his music.

Absolutely right...quite a surprise...but does go to show that you never know what's round the corner.
    Quite a legacy also.

I could never work out if his recording of Some Guys Have All The Luck, A lot of the lyrics were like those of the Persuades original that was covered by Rod Stewart but a lot seemed original.

bowenjones yes a good cover, mixed with Mavins, I Want You.

Can't believe it was that long ago. Recently heard some of his Vinegar Joe stuff and really enjoyed it
