    Here's mine for this month.

A common theme it seems and though not up to the usual standards around these parts, I'm quite happy with the shot.:)

    Camera:- Sony a100
    Exposure:- 2.5 seconds
    Aperture:- f/5.6
    ISO:- 100
    Focal length:- 26mm

One step fixed in paint shop pro and that's it.

Any comments, feedback or tips welcome.

    Cheers, Dave.

I was blowing on it while it was exposing so I suppose it was being powered by hot air.:D

Great subject for the theme. Similar thinking to ddodia's entry.

Difficult to get exposure correct on flames without making the rest of the image appear to dark. It may be my monitor but the flames do appear a bit over exposed.

Nice entry though. Do like the warming feeling it gives off. :smashin:

    Thanks for the feedback.

The flames are over exposed. I had a few other shots where they weren't quite like that but over exposing the flames gave it more of a roaring look so I went with that one.:)

That's certainly a roaring fire. I can imagine geting the exposure right for this was pretty tough? It looks about spot on to me. I think it could do with a slightly different composition or crop to improve it. It looks slightly uneven due to the empty space on the far right. Well done though.

    Thanks.

I did play with cropping the image to get rid of the space on the right and a bit at the top but just couldn't get anything I was happy with so just left it alone.:)
