Following on from my Shawshank thread, "Road to Perdition" was recomended, I watched this last nite and was very enjoyable to watch.

How did you guys rate it?

Reason i mention Danial Craig, as he is the new Bond, i heard this morning that he has knocked out his teeth filming the new bond.

What? hes knocked all of them out???

Anyway Road To Perdition is a fantastic film yeah, I loved every minute to the point that i would would describe it as virtually flawless. Sam Mendes is one hell of a director. American Beauty and Jarhead are equally worthy of your time if youv'e yet to check them out.

yep i agree sam mendes is a genius.

I dont think he knocked them all out but a fair few whilst doing a stunt for Casino Royale.

Anyone has an image of Craig without his teeth?

would never had happened to good old Pierce.

That just says he should never accepted the role. I really cannot imagine him as Bond. :thumbsdow

Been many a long year since the genius that is Tom Hanks was in turkey of a film so it had to be good really and was it ? Definately, not his best but great all the same.

I thought Road to Perdition was a real stinker - entirely predictable from beginning to end.

Oh well, each to their own.

Well actually for what it is, i thought it was relativley original, though i had read the graphic novel so knew what to expect. But its the fact that its flawlessly directed and beautifully acted that makes it a classic in my eyes. Just a really terrific film experience. And the ending is just perfect, which makes it better than most films stright away in my book.

I loved Road to Perdition. That scene in the rain, no sound except the wonderful score and one piece of dialogue "I'm glad its you". Pure genius!

The thing i love about Tom Hanks is he can act wonderfully without saying a word.

True. You only have to look at Cast Away to see how good an actor he is. Very impressive. :)

I love the scene in the Café, where he’s looking straight into the Camera lens as he realises the friendly stranger sitting opposite is actually the hit man looking to kill him.

Yep, that is another great scene, i wonder of that bead of sweat running down his face was him or an effect.
