    Hi "the Dude",

Just wondering if you got the RME you were thinking of a while ago, have you got it up and running with multichannel sound so far?

If it helps, i got one of these along with some active blue sky speakers and run them balanced from this card with the daughter card.

Power DVD is the only software to pass on the up to 7.1 dd/dts to the card though.

Theatertek II should have this feature when it out the end of this month.

    Thanks for the reply,

Have you tried using AC3 filter? Can this pass analogue to eachof the channels? If you haven't would you mind trying for me (if its not being cheeky ;) ), I'd really like one of these cards but I'd need it to work as a direct replacement for my revo 7.1.

    Thanks
    Owain

sorry did not see your reply.

I have used the ac3 filter to hear the HD films i have, however, I have not got the 5.1 working yet - as Theatertek II is out anytime now and will "pass on" dd/dts etc and has support for whd, i'm waiting to see if that is a one software player solution.

AFAIK, the soon to be released TT2 will have bass management, speaker size and distance calibration, which is way ahead of PowerDVD, putting it squarely in the htpc/preamp domain.

Eitherway until TT2 is out, i can not expand further. I'll post back once i've had a play with it. :hiya:

Owain, I've got the order in, and will let you know how it goes as soon as it arrives.

Looks like TT2, RME9632, and Aaron's all round is gonna rock..

yep.. one of those links that Branx posted a while back.. miles cheaper than ordering over here, saved around £100

the respective prices vary slightly, but once you add the card and daughterboard together they worked out about the same..

Off the top of my head it came to £350 all in, daughterboard included.. :)
