Hi, just have a question on the topic, hopefully not breaking the rules by just having curiosity :D

Im sure we have all owned a rip

im just wondering whats the diffrence between a rip on a dvd9 disc and a retail dvd, i been told many times that there is hardly any diffrence at all but maybe some of the dvd experts on here know the true answer. :D

    That is the truth.

DVD9 bootlegs are produced in pressing plants and are exact copies of either Region 1 or Region 2 DVDs, every bit of information is copied over so the quality of the sound and picture is identical to the original. The only thing that is inferior alot of the time is the quality of the printing on the disc and the cover art but sometimes these can be of very high quality too which makes it very difficult to tell apart an original from a bootleg.
