I agree, Duel was an amazing film and he was a great actor.
 
I can remember him in the TV series Gunsmoke. Limping along and saying..... Mr. Dillon, Mr. Dillon

Funny that we both remembered him in the same way.

Remember him more in McLoud ('the cop on a horse') which is probably his most famous role.

Probably the most notable line in a cowboy series after Yes Kemo Sabi. I still can see him limping down a dust street to the marshalls office with some bad news.
Ill have to see if I can find a picture of it for when I complete the obituary.

Duel is on ITV3 tonight at 8:40, presumably as a tribute. :clap:

Good film and for those that don't know, it's Steven Spielberg's first.
 
He was a good actor, I remember him in McCloud too :) also remember him in an excellent film called Cocaine:One Man's Poison (made for tv) and he was EXCELLENT in it too.:( RIP
