Appreciate the issue of RIO going under & the availability of the Karma has been discussed on a couple of existing threads, but these seem to have gone quiet recently.

Has anyone found the Karma still available anywhere? Dukebox.com (via Amazon) has dried up.

If not, what suggestions for a substitute. Size isn't an issue(!) - this is going to be used in the car, so the important things are sound quality & battery life.

    Thanks.

    I've got the Iriver IHP140.

Excelent battery life, and good line out quality.

Not too big either, But really big if comparing to the wafer thin, jobbies....

Good solid machine, with 2 years warrenty I believe!

Customer service is all handled from somewhere in europe, but I'm told that when you send it too them , they are very good and repairs and return...

No need for that with mine (14 months old).

I use mine on my motorbike, so you can be sure that it can take some abuse!

    Gareth.

Shezzy2k - thanks for the tip, not sure about a refurb though. Anyone else gone down the pre-owned route?
Gareth - not thought about the iriver - I'll check it out.....

Also, to my suprise, the IHP140 has reduced in price by £15 in a year!

How many electronic items of this nature can you say this about?

Well worth it, and has Optical interface aswell...

Finally got a Karma from Comp-U-Plus.com in the states! Made an absolute schoolboy error though as obviously when the package arrived it contained a 2-pin charger - DOH!!!
