Right i have decided that my new tv is to plasma ... help

I have an old CRT T.V and now I'm the proud owner of a ps3 and moving into a nice new flat i have decided to buy a HD flat screen tv and have decided that plasmas are the route i want to take but am a bit bog down by makes and numbers.

i want it to be a 42 inch and have a budget of £1000 and also 1080p

I've heard that Panasonic's are good but would to love what people have to say.

how funny i am in exactly the same boat.... ive kinda settled on the Panasonic th-42px70 but am just waiting to see what happens with the prices...
