Hmmm TDL made IMO some of the best ever speakers...The RTL range expecially.
Unfortunatly TDL stopped trading, apparently due to RS buying their name...

Yep, RTL made some fantastic speakers. Just because the brand has been bought under the RS name doesn't mean they are going to be poor. The current Mordaunt short range - sub/sat packages excluded - were developed under the RS name and they arent bad at all.

Eltax are normally sold for a fraction of their retail price and are ok value for money.
I don't know about new speakers showing TDL brand, but TDL as a speaker company have ceased to be.
They used to give a lifetime warranty, a bit of a problem when the company no longer exists!!

No offence but we did those as well. The only items Audio Partnership rolled on from the old MS was the MSW20 (that was developed but not produced by the old MS) a dipole and centre that have now ceased production. If you look at the old 800 series- there isn't a lot there that points toward premiere.

    Absloutely none taken!

If you could put me right on a few points, though:
    1) Are MS now "controlled" by Marantz, or does Audio Partnership still have a controlling interest?
    2) I thought the current 900 range and 500THX range were developed when Audio partnership owned MS. However, as the premier ranges and new £500 sub came out later, I thought these to be designed while Marantz?

    Thanks,

    Russell

    1) MS is 100% owned by Audio Partnership. Marantz Gmbh are our distributors in Europe and the USA. As such, I am an Audio Partnership employee attached to MS.
    2) As above, the 900 series existed in a skeletal form in the head of our designer when we took him on but was our work. The 500 series happened by accident (a long story) and premiere was later arriving due to it being unfamiliar technology. The new 900 series is filtering into stores now and a revised premiere and new sub sat design will follow in the first quarter. The flagship range will follow thereafter.
