    Hi all,
Good news on the dead dv 636, I found the warranty card from Richer Sounds and for the life of me i cant think why but I had bought the extend to 5 years option for £44. I NEVER usually buy extended warranties.
Anyway took it in to the shop and was loaned a crappy refurb tosh on sunday afternnon. Phone call on Monday morning 10.30. 636D was to expensive to repair (they didnt even sent it to the service station). We had up to the original value of 399 for a replacement. Kid in candyshop time followed with purchase of multi region Pioneer DVR 420 and free 3 year warranty. They dont do 5 years anymore.
Still I can believe the only time i have ever bought it the extra warranty it paid off. :)
Only problem now what do i do with vcr??????????
