The Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford was held over this past weekend. I was there Sunday...

The Chinook pics were a challenge as the rotors need to be blurred, and handheld at 1/125 sec and at 400mm after well over 2000 shots taken over the course of the day the old arms were starting to complain. I overheard the guy next to me say to his missus. "I much prefer the rotors frozen"... Bloody philistine.

He looked odd too.... Nikon camera says it all :rotfl:

Like Jim I love the Vulcan. I've never seen an Osprey before, really unusual.
    All great photos.

Thanks for the Vulcan photos - my (late) mum worked in the design office all those years ago.

Fantastic set, some great captures especially getting the prop blur. I was there Sunday at Rhymes Farm.

Great shots. I was going to take a chance and turn up on the Sunday, Fairford not too far, then I got chicken pox. Poxxy luck as they say.

More top notch stuff. Bet 17 was difficult to decide whether to have the plane level or ground level ;)
