I am trying to connect my Sky Digibox via a cypress Cm-348 scaler to LCD screen.

I am taking RGB from the Skybox into the Cypress scaler and DVI to the LCD. The problem is the scaler is reporting "no signal".

The set-up works on composite video I/P, so the scaler-LCD connection is OK.

The scaler is expecting RGsB input. Now I'd assumed that this is what the Skybox outputted (ie. RGB with the sync in the G). Is that correct or does the sky box O/P RGBS.... if so, how easy way to convert RGBS to RGsB?

    Confused......

    Help needed!

    Thanks

I know sky+ does RGBs as that is how i connect to my Iscan, but I don't know if it also outputs sync on green as well. I think it must do as isn't that how scart to scart works (i'm not helping much am I)

You can do a search for a post by me from around 2001 that details a method to try to get sync on green with a little resistor mod on the scart lead. Could be worth a try for the 5p the resistor will cost. The thread is probably in the CRT Projector section

I think someone either detailed or linked to the resistor trick on the long sonix post in LCD if you either have a trawl or do a search too.

Edit: saw it somewhere, can't find it now

Try QED AV19 cables. I used one to connect my SKY+ to the HD+. Sky+ is Sync on the Composite signal.
