This may have been discussed several times already but I's like to clarify the situation to myself.

I'm planning to connect a digibox SCART RGBs output to a plasma TV's RGBHV VGA input (none of which I yet have).

John Sims' RGB to VGA converter seems to get rave reviews and costs something like £120.

Somewhere I got the idea that some type of Keene Syncblaster might be able to do the same thing. Am I right and if yes, which type would it be (and how much would it cost)?

Any other options? I wouldn't mind if it didn't cost as much as the JS. ;)

    Hi,

the other option is to use the Component converter, but it would use the Y,Pr,Pb input instead of VGA. Both units use broadcast quality components which are not found on lesser systems. I could general purpose consumer electronics, but then I'd be compromising on the design!

    All the best,

    Dr John Sim.
