    Hi,

I've got the Acer AL2671W which has two scart sockets, One does RGB and the other does RGB and YUV.

I want to get a better video lead than the one supplied, the one supplied has a Red, Green, Blue (Which I am using for YUC), Yellow, Red, White (Using red and white for audio).

What I need to know is am i right in thinking that I can use a RGB (3 Phono) to Scart cable to carry the YUV (as the acer has a YUV scart socket). I will use the digital out into a 5.1 amp therefore no reqirement for the audio.

RGB is different to component, YUV is Digital, It is possible Acer have wired a Scart for YUV but I would think it very Strange !
Thought I read 1 scart RGB and the other S-Video.
How do You find the Al2671W ?

YUV on a SCART socket is unusual but not impossible - there are a few DVD players and the odd Freeview Digibox that output YUV on SCART and a couple of Loewe TV's have YUV Inputs on SCART :)

Not many cable companies carry the 3RCA to SCART configuration as a stock item so the likes of VanDamme are a good option as they build cables to order.

    Best regards

    Joe
