Okay, the LCD arrived a few days ago & have to say it's absolutely awesome.

However, before I buy the necessary leads, it has as array of connections which includes two scart sockets one of which is RGB enabled.

I have bought a RGBS scart apaptor to plug into the back of the LCD but do I actually need a RGBS lead to conect from sky or will a normal RGB lead suffice??

Is there any difference in quality??

These are £50 so want to enusre I buy the right one & not waste any money.

The problem with trying to answer this question is that RGB is a generic term, ie there are several versions of RGB.
A scart lead will carry RGB as RGBS (sync on composite) but there is also RGsB & RGBHV. So an RGB cable can be between 3, 4 & 5 cables. For your RGBS scart converter you need a 4 phono lead. As long as it has the 4 phono connections then it will work, 5 is also ok but 1 of them will not be used, 3 will not work.
So to sum it up - if the RGB cable has 4 or 5 leads then it will work fine. However if it only has 3 leads then it wont work via scart.

    Mark.

Hornydragon, cheers mate. However, I needed a 10m long cable so on the advice of MarkE19 bought a Profigold PGV7410 RGBS cable. I then bought a Scart to four phono plug adaptor wired for RGB plus switchable composite in/out from Keene [KA150S]. I hope it will work!!
