Got a problem I would like to run by you guys; I have the Tosh 32ZD26 which has component inputs and scart rgb. I have an ntsc games console which I was using component and enjoying prog scan but now I have a jvc dvd player which has component outputs and delivers a pretty impressive image through them. I don't want to keep swapping the component cables over between the console and the dvd so my question was whether I will get anywhere near component quality if I use a good quality rgb scart cable? Thanks!

Unless you're aiming to run a progressive scan feed through the RGB scart, the simple answer is that you're highly unlikely to notice any real difference.

I find the rgb scart & component inputs on my zd26p are both superb quality. I only use component because I can !:)

Make sure it is fully screened and gold plugs are preferable.
