RGB to Component Convertor (Cable Colour Codes) ?

I have an RGB to Component convertor unit which accepts an RGB signal input via a scart socket and outputs a Component signal via 3 RCA (phono) sockets.

The component output sockets are not colour coded and are labelled YUV, can anyone please tell me with absolute certainty which of the green, blue and red component cables go into the sockets labelled Y, U and V.

It is definitely an RGB to Component convertor and was made by JS Technologies, however, the use of YUV on the Component outputs without colour coding is confusing for a novice.

Y carries the Sync – which will produce a B&W image when the other two are not connected.

The other two sometimes get swapped around – you’ll know if you have them wrong (strange purple tinge to the image).
