Am I right in assuming that the sharpness setting has no effect on a tv picture viewed from a RGB input.

Can someone please clarify as I do not seem to notice any difference when adjusting the setting.

    Thanks.

    It depends on the TV.

As Squirrel God said, it depends on your model, tell us and I'm sure someone will be able to help. On my Philips 9617, the sharpness DOES have an effect in RGB too.

    I have a 21" Philips 21PT4457

I have since tried changing the sharpness setting whilst using an indoor aerial and there is a definate change, especially when viewing writing/text. A smaller setting (0-15) seems to be much better.

I am now fairly sure that when viewing NTL Digital via the RGB Scart the sharpness has no effect.
