RGB OR SVIDEO

    all i need to know are which one is best plain an simple lolplease can any one help. also im using svideo at the min but i want to know if there is a clear difference.i dont wanna pay 40 quid for a qed squart an find out it looks no different lol

    Straight answer: RGB is superior.

    Complicated answer: you may not see that as S-Video is pretty close and the final result will also depend on the equipment and cables used.

    Still your call then ... :rolleyes:

    All things being equal RGB, higher colour bandwidth.

    If you have SVM on your TV RGB, 100Hz processing can ruin a DVD picture

    thanks reiner an martin i think i will stick with svideo.its not like im not impressed with the svideo i just didnt wanna spend 40 quid an then not see a difference thanks for the help boys now i got 40 quid for dvd`s lol mmmmmmmm proof of life has my name all over it :)

    I would say buy the SCART. You should get a good one for £30. For this, not only do you get a better picture, you also get auto switching (TV to DVD and Autoformat).
    With S-Vidio, unless it is done through SCART, all the switching has to be done manualy.
    Some DVD's have two formats in the start of a film and in the extras these days.

    RGB has twice the colour bandwidth :)
