Hi, if I want to use rgb scart from my freeview PVR to my LCD TV do I need an RGB only scart cable or can I use a regular scart cable? If I can use a regular scart cable is the performance gain worth the cost involved from scart to rgb only scart - they seem to be a fair bit more expensive.

I'll be using optical out from the pvr to my yahama amp for sound.

    Thanks. Nick.

You can use either type of scart cable. I'm not sure that I would go to the expense of an expensive RGB cable for Freeview but a reasonable quality individualy screened mid price scart would be a step up from the supplied freebie and is probably the stage where the laws of dimishing returns set in.

OK, as I suspected. Thans Ian.
