Just bought a Sony HS20 to be used with a Sky receiver.

Spent last night trying to connect the Sky box's Scart output (RGB) to the HS20 and failed miserably.

I have a Profigold lead of scart to 3 phonos and the PJ Multi cable.

This is a very dumb question, but, I'll ask it anyway......
Is RGB different to Component signals?

I suspect that the lead I have is just getting the RGB onto different connectors and when I plug these into the Component inputs on the HS20 it can't make any sense of the signals.

    Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes unfortunately RGB is different to Component YUV. The sync on RGB from your STB is drawn from a fourth pin (the composite video output). If the Sony doesn't support RGBs (requiring a fourth phono on your cable and the ability for the Sony to combin RGB and Composite) then the easiest thing would be to get a JS Technology RGB to YUV converter. I've no experience of the Sony though so don't know if it works without the need for a converter. Anyone???
