RF2 9vDC missing from my DSB40 after cable damage. It is still switched on in the menu.Is there a reset or will it be component failure.

    passat,

    Welcome to the forums.

You're more likely to get a reply if you're a little more descriptive with your questions and weren't quite so blunt.

Try this - turn the RF2 power off and save the setting. Unplug the box from the mains. Give it a few seconds then re-boot. Turn the RF2 power back on and save the setting. Does it work now? How are you testing the 9V supply?

Arthur I tried that and it's still no good. I tested for the supply using the TV Link pluged into the RF2 and the indicator on the link does not light. It works ok in another Sky box. looks like it's a repair job.

    Cheers

    passat,

Sorry that didn't help - it was worth a try.

I've never seen a DSB40 fail in this way, so I have to admit I'm surprised.

    A repair wouldn't be cheap either - sorry! :(
