    Hi,

This is probably a very daft question.

All magazines and these forums etc all say that you should hook up your equipment with the best connections possible, component video, RGB scarts, S-video or whatever.

However, all diagrams in all of the literature that comes with the equipment shows not only SCARTs connecting everthing to everything else, but also RF cables connecting everything to everything else (eg from Digibox to TV or to VCR or DVD recorder, then from VCR/DVD recorder to TV etc).

    My questions are:
If they are all already connected by SCARTS, do you need these RF cables as well?

If so, what do they do?

Finally, if you do need them do you need high quality ones or will the tatty ones supplied with the equipment do?

    Thanks,

    Alan

The best thing to do is :rtfm: !! ;)

The cables that come with products are usually very budget, I would always suggest some form of upgrade. It does not necessarily have to be a lot of money (like some - you know who you are! ), but the improvemenmt in sound and picture will be noticeable.

    Cheers

    Mark.
