    This review has me concerned

    DAILY MAIL - CHRIS TOOKEY
"Episode III has the same faults as episodes I and II (terrible dialogue and worse acting) plus two brand new ones - a confusing lack of geographical sense and a tendency to leave gaping plot holes.

If (Hayden) Christensen is poor, (Ewan) McGregor is abysmal.

I found the whole thing a colossal disappointment. Lucas' dialogue is more banal than ever and his sense of structure has largely deserted him. "

    This one a bit better

THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER - KIRK HONEYCUTT
"Watching these fates unfold with such tragic inevitability, watching each piece fall into place, is genuinely thrilling. In fact, knowing that these strong characters cannot and will not escape their fate is what moves us.

The seduction of the troubled Anakin to the dark side and the turn of the cool, cerebral Palpatine into the dictator of the Galactic Empire occur in an intelligent and persuasive way.

Poor dialogue and wooden acting still inflict the second trilogy."

    And better still

    VARIETY - TODD MCCARTHY
"Whatever one thought of the previous two instalments, this dynamic picture irons out most of the problems, and emerges as the best in the overall series since The Empire Strikes Back.

Entertaining from start to finish and even enthralling at times, Sith has some acting worth writing home about, specifically (Ian) McDiarmid's dominant turn as the mastermind of the evil empire.

McGregor remains a steady presence, and both Portman and Christensen have loosened up since Clones to acceptable, if hardly inspired, levels."

I ignored The Sun & Daily Mirror reviews as they tend to hype up the big movies no matter what to get a few sound bites on the film posters!!

I still think there is a common theme of **** poor acting & dialogue though which is disappointing, but i guess that is only a small part of the reason for going. Anyway I have the day booked off now so will catch it on opening day! :smashin:

I saw it at the same Sunday morning preview.

You're living with your partner, they may be male or female.
That person is stunning to look, funny, charming and loving.
They cook (brilliantly), they clean up after you, make sure the bills are paid and are an absoulte whizz in the bedroom.
They don't mind you spending time with your friends and support everything you do 100% while having a life of their own and not being too clingy. :)

From the middle of nowhere they say the most moronic, thoughtless thing that goes against everything you believe in and offends you to the core and
you storm out of the house shouting and swearing. :(
You calm down enough to go home just to collect your things and return to find the house lit by candles and a three course a-la-carte meal on the dining room table. Your partner apologises and through word and deed reminds you of all the things that made you love them so very much in the first place.

That in a nutshell is like watching Revenge of the Sith.

If anybody has any questions ask away. I'll not spoil anything though

Hi Chris - nice analogy. Just one question, is the film worth the hype?

Thanks - You can't beat a good analogy

Tejstar - It made me love Star Wars again.

In my opinion having seen all six...

    Empire Strikes Back
    A New Hope
    Revenge of the Sith
    Return of the Jedi
    Attack of the Clones
    Phantom Menace

IMO the best sequence in all 6 films is maul vs obi wan/qui gon in the episode 1, compare that to yoda flying around in episode 2, and phantom menace edges it as a film for me (considering there wasn't anything else to either of those films).

Well, if you like your big Light Sabre battles there's no shortage in Revenge of the Sith!!

In case some people don't know "stuff" I've made the below white so you can highlight it if you want to read it:

Obi Wan & Anakin vs Dooku
    Obi Wan vs Greivous
Sidious vs Windu & other Jedi
    Yoda vs Sidious
Jedi vs Hundreds of Droid Army / Clone Troopers / Republican Guards
    Anakin vs Obi Wan

    All are stunning

I NEED to see the second one in that list! How does it compare with GG fighting in the Clone Wars series? I can't believe he'd actually be more intimidating in live-action film than they managed in the series. :)

I agree, I actualy didn't think that TPM was too bad in comparison with AOTC.

    TPM just frustrated me:
    Jar Jar Binks
Missed opportunity with Darth Maul (10 min screen time indeed!)
Anakin being a little boy (goes against the quotes in A New Hope0
    Trying to explain the 'force'
What was the 'phantom menance' anyway?

I saw this three times at the cinema to make my mind up, whereas I saw AOTC once and gave up!!

The fight with Maul was awesome, albeit toooo short!

I've never seen a full episode of the Clone Wars (tried thought it was terrible) but when General Grievous walks up to Obi Wan shrugs off his cloak, pulls himself up to his full height and SPARKS UP 4 LIGHT SABRES!!!!!!! It's kinda cool :)

Got to see it yesterday on press projection, better than episode 1 and 2 but still lots of thread holes and inconsistences.
Lucas should have thought about this before. Especially this Palpatine/Sidious character. My old aunt Maria would have done it better.

Still, if you've seen other movies you have to see this one too. Otherwise continue being smart and skip this one too.

Excellent!! So everyone say's it's great apart from the Daily Mail :D :rotfl: . Does anyone actually take any notice of the Daily Mail anyway (apart from the exceedingly boring ban everything fun brigade!)?? Can't wait to see this one - if it's anywhere near the quality of TESB then we're all in for a treat!  Can't wait until they release the 6 film box set, it will be superb to watch them all from start to finish.

I wish they would stop putting spoiler ads on the TV ***! I know they want to build this movie up but I don't want to know who says what to whome before i've evne sat down in the cinema. I want it to be as fresh as possible to get the most out of it.

Why do you specifically need a six film box set to do this?

"Sith" will be out on DVD in a few months, so all six movies will be available. to view

You don't need a 6 film box set to do this by any means. I'm personally waiting for it and haven't bothered with the old trilogy set as it would be nice to have all 6 in the same set and I can't be arsed with buying all of the films twice. I'm sure that they will probably look at releasing the box set shortly after "The revenge of the Sith" is released on DVD anyway. They did a similar thing with the LOTR's by releasing the Extended & Unextended Trilogy Box sets just after the release of the ROTK.
