      Thanks for the review Ed.

I have four of the S16 surrounds in white gloss and they look and sound excellent in my white painted room.
It is good to see you are as impressed with them as I am.

      Hi Ed
I love your reviews (although I had to overstretch to get the special 40s) a down to earth approach and sense of humour is slowly disappearing in this increasingly pc country and is much appreciated, but could you and other AVForums reviewers please give us the approximate size of the rooms speakers are reviewed in? and please use some CD/SACDs thanks.

I've been very interested in the sound quality of they Revel Concerta2. As REVEL goes, these are relatively cheap speakers, and I wondered if the still lived up to the Revel standard of quality, and it seems that they do. Very nice speakers -

      Revel - Concerta2 - Revel by Harman

      Revel - Concerta2

The large floorstanding 2.5-way F36 are priced at US$1000 Each, which is not overly expensive when you consider that the top REVEL speakers are price at US$11,000 EACH.

In the USA, the Revel M16 are listed at about US$450 Each -

      Revel - M16

1" Aluminum Tweeter with Acoustic Lens Waveguide
      6.5" Aluminum Cone Woofer

That's expensive when you can get the pair for $900 in the US. We have got plenty of options and choice in the UK at this price point. Not denying the fact that they sound great.

Great review! :smashin: Although I haven't found colouration to be an issue with Concerta2.

I own the floor stander F35 and the center C25 and can conclude that these speakers push WELL above their asking price! I continuously find myself floored (no pun) by the level of performance and balanced approach to how they reproduce both music and movie sound effects. Some very skilful engineering went into the design of these speakers.

Not only are they gorgeous to look at but you get a whole lot of speaker for the investment.

I urge those interested to have a serious listen!

      Thank you!
      Typical Scandinavian! ;) haha

The big cabinet on the left side is an issue, but you know... livingroom! And I will soon get Dirac Live to assist in room correction.

Hope you'll get a chance to audition Concerta2. Honestly more people should! They are amazing performers! Which models in the range are you interested in? I see from your avatar that you may have Audiovector QR series atm? Is that correct? Those are damn fine speakers as well, I almost chose them over Revel.

For the record I also have a second set of floor standing F35 for surround duties (one of them pictured below), so four F35 in other words, which has worked out surprisingly well. One might think it would be overkill to utilize full-range for surround but that doesn't have to be the case in reality. For practical reason this worked out better in my room as well.

Having had my eye on Revel for years I can confirm that Concerta2 live up to their usual standard of quality. The only thing I didn't appreciate were the cheap and flimsy pre-installed rubber feet on the F35 and F36 floor standing models. I removed em and replaced with 3rd party isolation feet.

FWIW I initially auditioned the step-up series Performa3 and adored those but had difficulties housing them in my listening room so eventually I ended up with Concerta2. So far they haven't left a lot to be desired. Although obviously Performa3 will reveal further detail and low frequency heft, but sound stage dimensionality I found pretty much equal, which is delightful with movies in particular. "Immersive audio" without immersive audio ;)
