Got a 360 today from GAME.
I asked the guy working there what would I do if I had problems with it like it freezing, crashing etc. and he said you can bring it back and they will give you a brand new one and the best thing is you can do this up to a year of your purchase date. Just thought I'd share this info with you guys in case anyone needs to return their system for any reason.

Wow wouldn't it be amazing if all retailers had to do this....

Apologies for my cynical and sarcastic sense of humour

Now the shortage has dried up it is good to know you can swap them and that they WILL have stock. Rather thann having to send to MS!

I got £30 for any game i have taken in so far and £37 for PDO LTD edition. Thats trade in though. Plus they have a 10 day return on games so if u dont like (or completed) they take it back within this period no questions asked. Which is abig bonus for me as im a nighttmare for impulse buys. :)

its actually company policy to take it back (in store). Not just in certain stores. I would go back and complain.

It's actually the law that the retailer has to exchange faulty goods, nothing to do with company policy.

I was on about GAME`s company policy to take games back in general even when they are working under there 10 day return policy they have. Basically a try and test the game if u dont like it bring it back.

Thanks for that. It's goo dto know that we can return it and get a new one within 12 months if it was to go wrong

Wouldn't it be a bonus if they had ones with 100gb hdd, HD-DVD ect by then and all we had to do was pay the extra if needed :D

but its all down to this (seller acting as an agent rule) which can be a grey area

Not entirely sure what you mean, the legislation is quite specific about the retailer's responsibilities.
