Just about to return my HS1 to my local sony dealer under the 1 year warrenty for repair (2 large blue blobs that didn't go away after spraying a whole can of compressed air over the blue panel).
Guessing that they will take at least 2 months does anyone know if sony dealers usually give a loan projector in the meantime? or is this very much down to the dealer? thx

I have had a very positive experience with sony (see http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=87799) for more details.
I dealt directly with the sony repair people in heathrow, but they didn't have a pj to loan. Had it been a TV or something else, I might have been lucky, but not a projector.
Since you are going to a dealer you may be luckier.

    Cheers
