    Hi

If I buy a box from Argos to give it a try and decide to return it on the 16/21 day returns, is this possible, or is it a exempt product???

Bush Black Freesat HD Digital Box. 532/1564

Also.. DO they come with HDMI leads?

Just answered in your other thread. They only come with a scart cable but argos might give a reduction on an hdmi cable.

You can certainly return the box by saying its faulty, they do not quibble at all.

Once you seee the football though i doubt you will want to return it.

I returned my humax box to comet no problems. Just said I wasn't happy with the overall picture quality and it was below my expectations.

They're not supposed too. That product is exempt from 30 day refund. Its on the product details on the website. Maybe you got lucky, but its not 'totally false'.

They have to take it if you say it is faulty. If you just said you didnt want it then yes they could refuse.

Thats what i said, unless its faulty and then they're only abliged to get it fixed, exchange it or give credit vouchers. If your lucky and kick up a fuss they may give you a refund but its not guarenteed which is what i think the origianal post was getting at.

    Hi

I brought a Bush HD box today to try the service out (It is going back tomorrow)..

The HD Picture quality from ITVHD was great. Really noticed the difference and it was class..

However, the only other HD channel I could find was BBCHD which was showing dross..

The menus and guide was so slow and poor, and the SD quality was shocking...

Well your not likely to find any other HD channels as ITV and BBC hd are the only FTA uk HD channels available.

it was only a week old though, and i checked the stock online and made sure it took it back to a store with 0 stock, so they couldnt give me another one:thumbsup:

In the unlikely even that ITV HD have not have made it to sky in the next 18 months , Argos could find themselves very busy just before and just after the world cup.:D

Sending my Metronic HD box back to Maplin today.....fantastic picture quality on HD and bloomin' good on SD considering bandwidth restrictions of Freesat, virtually as good as my Hummy Freeview.

Unfortunatly the Metronic has an uadio glitch which drops the signal always when first turned on resulting in having to chnage channels to get audio back, and if its already on and you change source on the amplifier then go back to the metronic source no audio again until channels are changed! I think it must be a flagging error on the audio signal over HDMI to the amp.

It went back to Maplin for "repair" and of course came back "no fault found" well suprise, suprise! I got it only three weeks ago, did it from the start and its been away for two weeks for the "repair" so its back now for a refund, I originally asked for an exchange as the box was only three days old but Maplin decided they wanted to repair it  which I wasn't happy about anyway......so that it, despite the great PQ I am going to wait for something else.....still not sure about PQ of the Hummy Freesat box though.....

    Best regards David
