Hey guys, I am trying to restore old DV tapes for a 90's handheld camcorder. My issue is the adapter is not holding charge for more than a minute. Finding a replacement is hard and costly where it is available. There must be universal adapters available local to me that will do the job.
Here is the spec from an old ebay listing Panasonic VSK0317 Video AC Adapter Camcorder Battery Charger 4.8V 1.2A & 6V 8.5W | eBay
I'm not interested in charging the batter, just want the power.
If I understand correctly, this takes a 100-240V input @ 50-60Hz (so pretty standard for UK)
and outputs 6V 8.5W
Q1. Will one of these do the job 30W Universal Mains AC DC Power Adapter 3V To 12V: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
Q2. These come with female pins. The camcorder comes what looks like a proprietary cable that connects the camera to the power supply. Will I need a male to female pin converter in order to attach the camera cable to the universal power supply which comes with a female pin?
