Posted this about a week ago but posting a new thread to clean it up :), I have now ordered my new 5K iMac so need to sell this on to help pay off the iMac!

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)
    2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
    16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    GT 750M GPU with 2gb & Intel Iris Pro - 1536 MB
    HDD - 512gb SSD

I will also be throwing in a magic mouse, some extra decals and also a nice sleeve style case from inatek (pics soon)

Has some stickers on the front that I will remove them before sending, I've inspected it all over and can't see any marks, scratches etc but I will say it's in very good condition just incase I've managed to miss anything (doubtful, I am very careful with my devices)

It's been my 4K video editing machine and if it wasn't for wanting a bigger screen (5K iMac) i would be keeping it as it's a little belter!.

I am open to *sensible* offers :)

If you need any specific details just ask, I will try to get some better pictures if needed.

Does this not have the 750M? I was interested in this in your last thread, has the memory + ram but you only mention Intel graphics.

Seems I got confused, it has both the Intel and 750M, I forgot that it swings between both for power saving and when looking at the About this Mac it only said Iris Pro etc

After checking the video card setting it does indeed show both Intel Iros Pro and GeForce GT 750M with 2gb of vram

    Hi.

What is the battery life like? Apple estimated 8 hours of battery life on this particular model. What is the current battery life cycle and health? Could you please check with this?

Does it run cool and quiet a majority of the time? Do the fans kick in a lot?

Have you had it since new? Does the screen suffer from any ghosting or image retention?

Any more pictures showing it from other angles?

    Thanks in advance.

My apologies on the slow reply.

Battery is very good for the normal Web browsing, text etc ad it'll use the built in gpu.

Using it for video editing, photoshop etc will go faster as it then uses the dedicated graphics card.

I'll get the health and cycle in the morning as i'm replying using my phone on bed.. Lol

Runs silent until I export video files, silent for editing, photoshop, playing videos etc.

Only myself as the owner and I'll also get some more pictures, all you'll see is a MacBook I'm very good condition

Gonna hold out for a little more, trying to help clear half of my new iMac purchase that was £2022 after upgrades.. Makes me shudder when I type that price!

    Thanks for the update.

Does it have it's original packaging? Any screen issues?

If you don't mind posting the average time the battery lasts for web browsing and admin type tasks that would also be greatly appreciated.

On the hunt for a laptop for a colleague so will show them the thread replies but would something like £975 delivered tempt you subject to posting further info?

I will check back later once you've posted the battery information and additional pictures.

Your new iMac sounds a beast! I am too scared to even spec one up...

    Thanks.

No screen issues that I have seen or come across during my time, everything works as it did from day 1 :).

It's hard to say on the battery, I can get anywhere from 4 hours to over 7 hours depending on the task at hand, for browsing, word editing it would be closer to the advertised 8 hours than the 4 I get when I am cranking out videos in 4K / Photoshop.

The GPU only kicks in to use more power when it needs e.g video editing but for day to day tasks the iris pro does the hard work and that is when I get the 7 hours battery life.

I am not at home yet but asked someone at home to get the battery info you asked for and it says in the official menus via about this mac.

    Health Information:
    Cycle Count: 157
    Condition: Normal

From reading up 157 is pretty low, but I have only used it on the battery when at a press event or on the move :)

I am sure I have the original box that it was purchased from new, just need to find it in my drove of other boxes I have.

On the offer I am looking for a little more, not trying to be greedy but ideally looking to clear over £1000 after delivery.

I also have some decals a company just sent me for review that I will include if needed and a case if wanted.

    Hi.

Thanks for the information about the screen and battery usage along with the stats.

Are you at home now? Did you manage to find the original box to ship it in?

I totally forgot to ask earlier but is it UK spec and therefore has the £ sign and larger enter/return key? Purchased from the UK?

The decals and case sound good. Is it one of those hard shell or TPU type cases?

Any fraying to the charger cables?

Posting any further pictures as mentioned earlier from more angles including it open, the bottom etc would be greatly appreciated for peace of mind.

My colleague found it too powerful for their needs but I am interested in it as a Mac Pro deal I was looking at seems to have fallen through.

Subject to getting satisfactory answers to my questions above any chance we can deal on £975 delivered? If everything is good I can look to pay via BT allowing you to deliver by the weekend?

Thanks in advance for any further input :)

It was purchased from Amazon UK, it does have the smaller enter key.

I'm going into the loft to get the box but I certainly will have it.

Power cable is fine, the white box is a little scratched up but nothing on the actual laptop.

The case is a sleeve type in a very nice looking grey and there are about 4 decals, i'm making a video showing them later today but won't be applying them.

I'm going to hold out on the offer, it's not far off my bottom end but still not at my lowest to sell fast :)

Thanks for getting back to me with the above.

Just to clarify does the MBPr therefore have a US layout keyboard as shown here http://cdn1.mediadevil.com/storage/UK_EU_Keyboard_Layouts.jpg if it has the smaller enter key?

I was preferably after a UK keyboard as find hitting the bigger enter key easier during extended coding sessions.

    Thanks.

Yep it shows the USA layout on mine.

I was the same when I first purchased it but after a week it went away and I use it like any other.

Having the bigger shift is more helpful to myself :).

    Sorry for the thread spam.

Updated my original post to now include the magic mouse and case.

Will add pictures when I get my lights set up for videos later tonight.

Thank you once again for responding and answering all my questions.

As much as I want the laptop I don't think I will be able to get on with the US layout. I have had my UK layout MacBook Pro for many years and I would find it potentially frustrating to use and no option of returning it.

I will therefore withdraw my interest. Best of luck with the sale :)

Thread updated and added the extras and pics to the first post so it's even better value for money now!

    I can offer £875.

£75 less cause it's import and you can keep the extras. I am going to buy the new mouse.

    Thanks

No problem, I could probably go to £900 to help with postage but I didn't realise it was an import sorry.

Sam - If it helps I'd be interested in the Magic Mouse, if that helps get the price closer to what mkelbie is offering

I doubt it would bring it close enough but I might end up splitting the mouse as it seems most are just interested in the trackpad (myself included lol)

Would you sell the mouse alone ( how much? )

Not sure how much they sell for but I would say around £30?

It doesn't have a box as it came with my original iMac and was used maybe 3 times.

Will get some pics later today.
