I have a Dell Insprion 518 desktop with Asus EAH3450 (ATI 3450) graphic card installed. Newest ATI Catalyst Driver (v.8.12) installed.
To display 1366 x 768 resolution on my Sharp LCD 32” TV, I tried everything. Installed PowerStip and set custom resolution but once I restart computer (asked by PowerStrip), I cannot see 1366 x 768 resolution in Display Panel. I even tried to create custom INF file and installed as a monitor driver did not work.

My TV used to display with my old computer (GeForce 8500 graphic card) 1366 x768 resolution no problem. I tried both DVI & HDMI connection. No luck!

OS: Windows Vista 32bit

Please help me!

Whilst your TV has a native res of 1366*768 does it actually accept an input at around this res? I am guessing that the HDMI/DVI connections will only accept 480i. 480p, 576i, 720p, 1080i. You may find that the VGA connection (I am assuming your set has one) will accept 1360 x 768 (this is now a standard res in Catalyst. Check the manual as you may find even your PC input will only accept 1280x720

I don't think that applies my case, because

A. I tried to connect with my laptop which has Radeon x300 128M - Used to working ok, but once I reinstall windows (XP w/ sp3) now same situation!

B. With my old computer, (Radeon 8500 128M version), I used to display 1366 x 768 until the computer broken last week (via DVI).

What model is your Sharp LCD? When it was working before was it set to 1366x768 at 60hz and connected to an actual DVI socket or using a DVI to HDMI adaptor??

It is LC-32GA5U model.

It work through direct DVI connection from Radeon 8500. No adapter used.
'"Digital PC Input" selected from TV menu.

I have a similar problem.

Grundig Xentia 37 LXW 94-8625 REF HDReady
Dell Optiplex 755
Asus eah3450di (vga+dvi+hdmi+5.1audio)

DVI port with DVI-HDMI cable to HDMI port on TV. Res to 1360x768.

Perfect Image. No sound of course. DVI port as no sound.

HDMI port with HDMI-HDMI cable to HDMI port on TV. Problems.

On any res except HD resolutions. Color is way wrong. Magentish...
HD Res (1280x720p or 1920x1080i) color is ok.

But using 1280x720p on a 1360x768 lcd I need to using scaling on Catalist Control Center to fill the lcd screen and image is a lot less defined than 1360x768 on DVI.

Any sugestions instead of adding a sound card and start using the DVI port on the 3450?

Nuno
