Hi could someone advise me what size I should convert to when converting video for my I pod using handbrake. The i pod is one of the latest i pod nanos (coloured) 4th gen. Some that I have done do not look right on the screen, which you hold sideways to view rather than upright. Thanks.:)

I think the Nano supports 640x480 and 320X240 - I don't think Handbrake lets you pick invalid formats (if you pick iPod as the template)

By 'do not look right' do you mean the aspect ratio is wrong (picture looks squashed, people look thin and tall etc), if so set 'anamorphic' to 'strict' to preserve the original aspect (but you may get thin black bars top/bottom).

Yes the 'squashed and thin' effect is exactly that, I have the i pod set to fit to screen and wide screen. I'm just having a go at 480 x 320 see how that looks, I had already started before your reply, and handbrake converts at a slow pace, only slightly shorter than the film length itself.

Your PC's faster than mine - took about 5 hours last time I did a film! Still no motherboard/processor arriving tomorow :D.
