Don't know if this is in the wrong section, but is the resizing tool broken?

Also, if anyone knows anything about resizing in Gimp please let me know how! I've already saved the image as a jpeg but am not being allowed to reduce the quality to fit in with the image size restriction.

Turn off any Norton applications firewalls etc and try again. If that doesn't work, download Irfanview and do it yourself. The resize tool is notoriously unreliable :)

edit, didn't read your post fully and I have no experience of GIMP i'm afraid.

To resize in gimp you need to right click anywhere on the image you want to reize then from the pop up window go to Image > Scale Image.

You can then change the width/height from there.
