    Me too, nice cover art.

Really looking forward to this, didn't get to play or even see it on the DS but heard so many good things about it. Already have it on preorder:)

It would be nice if the WiiU version does turn out to be the best version, after all Nintendo has had the best of Resi Evil through the years if you think back.

That lovely graphical update to Resi 1 on the cube, the criminally overlooked exclusive Resi Zero, Resi 4(exclusive before the graphically inferior PS2 version later released), and then on the Wii the wonderful Resi 4 remake which was a real joy to play.

    Here's hoping!

Res Zero and REmake were both awesome on the Cube. Brilliant Res games.

@Tetlee and Nezben, yeah the remake and resi zero and 4 were brilliant. Capcom do seem to have a good relationship with nintendo and have released some quality games for them over the years even though we didn't get SF4 the tatsunoku game was excellent on the Wii. Here's hoping revelations will do justice to the Wii u. it's heartening to know that they have a dedicated team working on it simultaneously to the other platforms and will have a game engine that plays to the Wii u's strengths.

Preview here on official nintendo magazine website

    http://www.officialnintendomagazine...sident-evil-revelations-wii-u-preview/?page=1

Decidely mixed preview, some frame rate issues and frustrations at the archaic RE feel seem to be the main problems (the old controls scheme doesnt bother me tbh, still loving RE remake and RE zero!) Pluses are the HD graphics and off screen play. Might be an average offering which would be a shame as I've been looking forward to this.

Old control scheme? The 3DS version has the more modern "move and shoot at the same time" control scheme. Is that not the case with the console versions?

    Direct quote from the article:

'Where fights against three Hunters in a slightly less cramped than usual room might have seemed like the height of difficulty on 3DS, it seems stark and unusual on a next-gen console. The more measured pace, caused by a mixture of decidedly old-school action controls and seriously resilient enemies, can drag out wave-based sections into lengthy, repetitive affairs and leave all but the most surprising encounters feeling like you've simply hit a bullet quota, rather than fought off a crowd of slightly melted jelly-beasts.

The problem is one of expectation. While the seasoned console player might feel adrift in ancient waters here, someone after the classic experiences this draws on (Resident Evils 1 through 4 ring loudly throughout) might be perfectly happy with the more limited portrayal.'

Not played the 3ds version so don't know what the guy is taking about but it doesnt seem like a major hurdle to me. Apart from the control scheme i don't know whether the author it's having a pop at RE in general or the fact that as a game it's got more in common with the older RE's and it's seeing this as a negative.

Personally i don't think he knows what he's on about, having read the article again he mentions RE 1 to 4 but 4 was the first one to take the series in a different direction and overhaul the controls so how he can put 4 in the same category as the ones before it I'm not so sure.

Trust me if its the same as the 3DS version you won't be disappointed. Its obviously not as good as the old resi evils and not as good as RE4 but for my money its far better than 5 and 6

Is this an 'over the shoulder' looking game like resident evil 4 was? I hope so - I must admit to not liking the very first original resi game with the fixed camera - although I understood why it was done, I just didn't get on with it - RE4 changed that for me :) if this is the same then I'm in :)

May dabble with this. Liked the 3ds demo and had the full game from love film for a while but didn't get chance to play that much at the time so sent it back. Played well and looked great so I'll try the Wii U demo and if it's as good as the 3ds version with better graphics then it's a winner for me.

Edit: just watched the above video and I'm pretty sold on that I must admit. Controls look great and the 3ds gameplay seems to have been well maintained.
