Ok cool. I was gonna ask, as long as it's coming to XBOX too.

I've got Zero and the original on my HDD but not played either. I really want to start playing through them but in the long run, I want the whole collection in HD so it seems more seem less to play.

I hope Resi 3 and Veronica remakes are on the cards too

Resi 6 is on Game pass ATM. 7 is getting cheaper.

Is 5 available on XBOX One? I think 4 had a HD upgraded version a while ago, so doubt that will get remade again.

Yes 5 is available, they offer a 4/5/6 bundle option.

I bought that bundle last year, but still haven’t finished 4.
I just can’t get on with the controls.
It was fine when I first played it years ago on the GameCube, but now I just can’t get used to it.

I played a bit of 5 on Xbox360 a few years ago, but can’t remember what the controls were like.

They’re saying the RE2 remake is more like 4.
I just hope the controls are better though.

It’s available to pre-order from Simplygames but I don’t expect it to be released until next year so little point pre-ordering yet.

The setting and controls of 4 killed the series for me but I loved all the previous (main) games, especially Code: Veronica on the Dreamcast.

    If they're remaking 2 here's hoping the do 3 and C:V too.

I enjoyed the games that came before but the tank controls were awful, RE4 was a revelation and just needed the ability to walk and shoot for it to be perfect which Dead Space nailed.

Yes. Dead Space got the controls perfect.
The way Leon looked like he controls in the RE2 remake looked very much like RE4.
Hopefully it’s not like that and more like DS.

I'm going to hold out for the bundle option. Currently it's £15 on PSN so I'm sure XBL will have it for the same price at some point. Be great to have a console with all the games available.

The more footage I see of RE2, it's looking more and more scary

The bundle has been around £15 several times but I am hesitant to pick it up as 5 is on Game Pass and I am sure the second I buy it the other two will pop up.

Is this getting a physical release?
I know it’s up for digital pre order, but I’d prefer it on disc.
Amazon has no listing, even for PS4(which they seem to prioritise over X1).

I’d be very surprised if it’s not released on disc.

Still no sign of a physical pre order.
I refuse to pay the £55 asking price for standard digital.
And definitely not the £70-something for deluxe.
There are games which are coming out long after this which already have pre orders.

Strange how Amazon doesn't have a listing.
Just places like Smyths, GAME and some smaller retailers.
I prefer buying from Amazon as I always get games and blu-rays on the day of release.

With Simplygames worst case is you get it on release but they have a habit of sending as soon as they get stock so delivery 2-3 days before isn’t unheard of.

Give it time and it will appear on there. Sometimes amazon are slow to add games at times.

As much as I want to play this. I’m not dropping £40 on this. Give it a few months after launch and it will be under £20

Capcom games, especially digital, often end up in sales pretty quickly.

I’m happy with my £24 pre order from Turkey.

I prefer physical for most of my games. I bought RE7 physical but I have 0,1,4,5 and 6 digital. And that was because they were on special.
I really want this remake on disc too. And at launch.
Resi 2 was my first PS1 game.
In fact, it was the reason I traded my N64 for a Playstation back in 1999.
I played Resi 2 to death back in the day. Sat in front of my little 14" TV with the curtains closed and the lights off.
I'm going into this with a better understanding of what they're doing than I did when I first played the RE1 remake back in 2002. So I know there' going to be some major changes beyond just a complete visual overhaul.
I know that it's not going to be a pure recreation of the original Resi 2. That they'll have changed the layout in some places and added new areas.
That's a bit of a disappointment, if I'm honest, because I have fond/strong memories of the original.
I'm still willing to give it a chance.

Very excited for this. I was hoping they would do what they did with the Resident Evil remake but seem to have gone down a different route (I avoid trailers but what I have seen suggests different)

Just finished the Dead Space trilogy (1 and 2 are still fantastic games even a few years on) and need some survival horror in my life. :)

If you need more survival horror, try The Evil Within.
I've not long finished the DLC for it(it was part of my backlog) and I'm going to start the sequel very soon.
I'd also recommend RE7, if you haven't already played it.

Finished both the Evil Withins - excellent games

    RE7 was also very good

Might have to go back to the RE1 remake again

Is that how much it's working out at? I'll pre-order then after pay day.

TBH, this is one game I've wanted remaking for years, so It wouldn't be right, if I didn't pick it up. Has to be digital for me and that price is more than OK
