As uploading my Samsung phone photos to my laptop, I accidentally deleted some family pictures. Is there anyway for me to check whether I can get them back? What should I do next to rescue them all back?

    Thanks!

Firstly try and stop using the phone unto you have completed the recovery.

Download Recuva and try running it with your phone connected to your PC

Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File and Disk Recovery - Free Download

If that doesn't work and they are stored on a memory card in the phone try the same but with the card in a reader connected to the PC.

    1. Keep this Samsung phone away form any new file before data recovery.

    2. Apply data recovery tool like Recuva, 4Card Recovery, PhotoRec and more to restore all your deleted photos back carefully.

    3. Ask a data recovery specialist or company for help, if the data recovery tool doesn’t help you out.

Note: Never be so careless about your phone/camera photos again and also remember to upload all newly taken photos or other files timely in the future.

    Good luck!

assuming it's an android samsung phone you can set it up so that any new photos taken get backed up to a dropbox account or google+ photo account. It won't help you now but is worth doing to protect any future photos.
