    Hi,

I wondered I've noticed a lot of people who contribute to this site have a 5* reputation..Having just joined 'Xbox Live' recently how long does it take on average before your reputation improves...Having played online for the last seven days I have received no feedback whatsoever and my meagre 3* remain (and No i haven't been that bad!!!)

It shows you having 4.5 stars on my screen.

It only takes 1 or 2 positive feedback to go from 3 to 5 stars assumeing no bad feedback. It's pretty easy to stay at 5 stars.

If you have people on your friends list ask them to give you positive feedback and you'll be set.

I've just changed my profile to include my 'Gamer Tag' and noticed the number of STARS has increased (don't know why). Yesterday evening i only had three (so maybe my increased gaming online at the weekend has been fruitful after all).

Your rep also increases when people don't leave negative feedback, so playing lots of people will have a beneficial impact on your rep.

    Mark,

So even if other players don't leave any feedback the sheer number of people you play increases your rep?

A player leaving no feedback is regarded as a positive experience and so adds to your rep.

Thats certainly what it says, however it certainly doesn't affect the % of bad feedback you have received. If you have had 1 bad feedback and 1 good and played with 326 people your bad feedback % will be 50% not 0.3%

so I'm not convinced what it says on the screen is accurate.

I don't think it works that way either - played with over 100 people (oooer) and still only had 3 stars. One person rated me and it jumped straight up to 100% and 5 stars

    have to agree with this.

i have had 1 bad feedback from a single game on pgr3 online (some twit ramming me and i get the bad feedback)

yet, my percentage, even though i have played numerous online games since has stuck at 80/20

Nobody can see your percentage though only your stars, so it doesn't matter too much. I've got 33% negative from having 3 (unjustified) bad feedbacks. It's no biggie.

Nothing, except most people will assume you are a plonker before you open your mouth. I belive you would be less likely to be grouped with 5 star people and more likely to be playing with the 1 star people.

The only way you will get punished from xbox live is if someone files a complaint and not because you get low feedback.

I assume that was revenge for my "unsporting behaviour" for having the indecency to win most of the time... :rotfl: ;)

i have 59% good and 41% bad, and i have 5 stars, i dunno where all the bad feedback came from, and i dont believe for 1 second that 41% of ppl i play with leave me negative feedback, the whole rep. system is a load of rubbish

It's 41% of the people that bothered to leave feedback. Most people don't take the time to leave feedback which is why no feedback is regarded as positive.

ye but i have played with thousands over live. If the system they say they use worked, and that no feedback was positive, then there is no way i would have 40% bad feedback, i do nothing to merit it.

if 10 people left you feedback, 6 positive and 4 negative then you'd have 40% negative. It's only the percentage of people that left you feedback, people that didn't leave feedback one way or the other count positively but don't affect that percentage.

The system obviously works as you have 5 stars, so all those people that didn't leave feedback have counted in your favour.
