My CRT computer monitor has broken over Christmas. I'm now have to replace, the question is how would a flat screen monitor compare to an LCD TV. As a TV alone I have been looking at the Sony 40KX2000 which has a very good resolution and review. What are pros and cons of photo reproduction on this equipment (apart from price).

I take it you want to use this monitor as both a tv and computer monitor ?

Slide photos were always shown via a projector. I know that you can attach a projector to a computer and proceeed on that basis. However it seems to me that a quality way of showing digital photographs would be via a large LCD TV and I wondered what the pros and cons of this course of action might be.
