Replacing Pioneer VSX-LX60 AV Receiver

I've recently purchased a new 5.1 speaker set (Kef R500, Kef R200C, Kef T301, powered Sub). I'd like to enjoy the newer sound formats (more speakers to be added soon) so it's time to replace my Pioneer VSX-LX60.

My budget is around £1k, and I would consider buying a separate stereo integrated amplifier with HT bypass and spending less on a new AV receiver if it would considerably improve 2-channel sound and make the Kef R500 speakers sing to their full potential. Otherwise, I'll dedicate the entire budget to a worthy AV Receiver (one less box to worry about!).

The NAD 758 v3 looks interesting as it incorporates Dirac around my budget which supposedly works miracles and is also good at 2 channel audio. I have couple of dealers nearby where I can demo Marantz and Denon products, not so sure about the NAD.
