Hi
I haven't kept myself up to date with home cinema over the last couple of years.
I'm looking to replace my old Pioneer LX81 receiver as I want one that handles 4K and ARC. My question is, how does the sound quality of the current generation of £500 machines compare? Thinking particularly of the Denon AVR-X2300W or Pioneer VSX-1131. Would I notice a drop in quality? Or have things moved on so much that sound quality would be improved?
I'm running a Samsung UE55HU5500 TV, B&W M1 speakers with a Rel Quake sub. Considering also the Panasonic 4K blu ray player.
While I'm asking I currently use the Pioneer's remote as a simple 1-4-all, any recommendations as to what to replace that with welcomed as well.
Many thanks for any thoughts you care to share.
